Our first guest teacher interview + MoonShine

Niddhi Pandya on the forgiving nature of Ayurveda + a yoga practice to support deep sleep & lunar rhythms.

This month, I am sharing the first of our Mother’s Milk interview series! This is where I get to interview 8 of my absolute favourite female Ayurveda Teachers. Those I’ve been lucky to study with,, been inspired by and quietly obsessed with for years.

Ayurveda can be seen as quite rigid, prescriptive and even patriarchal. Which is why I want to share these wisdom-keepers with you. These women have a unique perspective and experience of Ayurveda that is rooted in tradition and infused with compassion and feminine nurturing.

In this first conversation with Niddhi Pandya she shares about

  • what it was like to grow up in an Ayurvedic lineage household in India

  • living in NYC and mitigating big city overwhelm,

  • integrating the principles with children

  • what is an Ayurvedic pregnancy and postpartum

  • the 21 day protocol to transform your life

  • & her ideal evening routine and rituals

Niddhi’s book I Your Body Already Knows s out now.

You are going to love it!

As you will hear, we talk about Sleep and how to best cross the threshold from day to night. If you are one who struggles to fall asleep, stay asleep and wake up feeling fully rested and with ease I wanted to include a practice to support you. It’s a full length yoga practice especially crafted to harmonise with the energy of *evening* and it’s called Moonshine.

To access this practice, you can upgrade you account below for $8. You’ll receive all the practises I have shared previously as well.

If you’re new to Substack and paid subscription let me explain how it works. When you sign up as a paid member ($8/month or $80 a year) you receive access to the full length practises which are yoga videos, ayurveda tutorials and masterclasses with guest teachers. There is at least one practice a month so the value is HIGH, especially since you can do these practises over and over and get so much benefit from them!

One last thing, I’m teaching in person, in Australia this month! I would absolutely love to be with you in the flesh. If you’re interested, here is the link
